Sooo Long Since My Last Blog!

Wow!  I have really let this go!  So sorry if you've been stopping by to see the same five posts over and over again!  So much  has been going on around here.

First off, we are expecting baby #4 in October!  We are all so excited, especially the kids.  However that has led to a ton of specialists and ultrasounds.  They did some bloodwork and realized that I carry both genes of the same genetic condition that Isaac has and have needed to take some extra vitamins and aspirin therapy.  Praise the Lord that I have had 3 successful and fairly uneventful pregnancies!  With this condition things could have been much different.

Isaac is doing so well!  His gross motor is almost caught up to where it should be and he isn't needing to do anymore PT at this time.  He will have a speech evaluation in May because his expressive language is currently around 13 months, and he will be 2 in June.  However he is making such huge strides every day...the Lord is really working in his little life!

We have also started (and are almost done with) Growing Kids God's Way.  We have found the course so amazingly helpful as we felt like we had such a picture of what we wanted for our children but really had no tools or guidelines on how to accomplish them! Gary and Anne Marie Ezzo have definitely brought us some really helpful tools along with a dose of unity in our parenting goals, peace and direction!  This course is wonderful if you're feeling a little lost in the world of parenting principles.  It has a really strong Biblical foundation and has been wonderful!  I'm so sad that in a few short weeks the class will be over!

I am about to begin the biggest project of my homemaking life...spring cleaning! For some of you that might not be so huge, however for me it is life altering.  I am horrible at routine and organization!  I am really tryng so hard to learn though.  Through some of these amazing women's blogs and the help of some super helpful relatives, I am slowly but steadily learning to keep my home.  That said it was down right filthy in here the past couple of weeks due to first trimester exhaustion and morning sickness, but with some help from my sister, my mother and my mother-in-law, it has turned into a more manageable project.  I will be using my blog space for the time being to record my first spring cleaning effort as a record for me to learn from.  What worked, what didn't, and things I completely forgot to do.  So please bear with me.  I am just learning after all!

Here is what I am hoping to accomplish today:
  • Finish all of the dishes & clean the sink & counters
  • Clean the stovetop & the inside of the oven
  • Continue going through clothes , storage boxes & dressers
  • Brush out our big fluffy shedding dog
  • Disinfect & put away the toys in our living room

It may not seem like much to some of you, but it is no small task for me.  I'll need all the prayer I can get so if you're reading this and can throw up a quick prayer for me today, it would be so appreciated!

Thank you for taking the time to read my blog and have an amazingly blessed day!
